Must be a way of finding out who is behind it or where their uk offices are based. I would love to pay them a little visit. I am still considering going to the police but this would mean giving up the names and addresses of the people i sold to (proof of postage) and i really dont want to do that.

I believe Adultwork makes 90% of its profit from fake profiles. 2 weeks ago there was 608 profiles within a 30 mile radius of my house. Now there are 853. I'm guessing that 245 female escorts didn't just move to my local area. This is people producing fake accounts for profit. The reason I put it at 90% is the way the listings work, they put the most recently updated profiles at the top of the list. So all the real escorts that have been on there for years now have exhausted their market. Where as the fresh but fake profiles are getting all the interest. Adultwork choose to ignore this and they even state in their T 'n' C's that they will not actively seek to remove non genuine profiles and that they operate a buyer beware policy. They then remove my profile with the reason being i was selling to fake profiles! "Adultwork will not tolerate people making profit from fake profiles". I think they removed my account because they didn't want all my for sale items in the market place. Next thing mobile phones and laptops will be in the Adultwork shop. So they can hike the price up and take the profit. Sooner the police close them down the better. Scum of the earth.

I have been selling on AW and have had my fair share of problems.
Simply email webmaster@adultwork.com. If you keep going at them you will get there in the end.
They probably have no interest in receiving all the bad press they do, nor withholding funds that have been earned legitimately, why would they?
I sell my stuff on my own site as well that is multi-faceted like this, (i.e. with contracdictions in the membership it attracts, incetives for people to deceive each other and launder money).
You seem to think you can please all of the people all of the time. Too many fakes, but no one wants to verify. Fake profiles are set-up by people selling high value/over priced items so to enable them to extract the funds from the fake accounts they and their associates have set-up.
I've seen it myself by checking things such as:
- posting items to addresses that don't exist
- with tracking numbers not recognised on the royal mail website
- selling items for twice the price of their market value
I am sure people on here are whiter than white, but now AW have turned the millionth member I expect they have plenty of serious fraud to be dealing with, especially with half their cammers being in eastern europe.
If you are legitimate, and have nothing to hide, provide the information they have asked for and then ask for it to be deleted. THis is what we do as a matter of course on our site.

After a couple of weeks of trying, my account was reinstated today. I did everything they asked. I don't really follow your reply Bookham. Thanks to those that helped. Sam.
